The problem is not your internet speed. It is your ping. And the frustrating part is that most "gaming internet tips" online tell you to upgrade your plan, which does absolutely nothing for latency.
This guide focuses on what actually works. These are the same fixes that competitive players and network engineers use to shave real milliseconds off their connection. Some take two minutes. A couple might mean changing a router setting you have never touched. All of them are worth it if you care about winning.
Ping (or latency) is the time it takes for a tiny packet of data to travel from your device to the game server and back. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). A lower number means a faster, more responsive connection.
Online games use almost no bandwidth. Warzone uses about 0.5 Mbps. Valorant uses even less. You could play any multiplayer game on a 5 Mbps connection. What games need is for those tiny packets to arrive fast and consistently. That is ping and jitter.
